Privacy Policy
What this covers
This policy describes the Manuscript website and the Manuscript app for Mac. Manuscript is offered from the United Kingdom. It explains what information the website handles today, and what the app is designed to keep on your own Mac.
The website
This site is a set of static pages. It does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or send a form. We do not run our own analytics, and we do not set cookies.
To display the pages, your browser requests a typeface from Google Fonts and icons from unpkg. Those requests include the technical details a browser sends with any connection, such as your IP address and the browser you are using. Google and unpkg process that information under their own policies. We do not receive a copy of it.
Buttons that are not yet live, including Download, only show a short notice in the page. They do not send us a message.
The Mac app
Manuscript for Mac is not yet available to download. When it is, your documents are ordinary files on your own disk. This website does not receive their contents, and the app is not designed to upload them.
If a later version of the app sends information off your Mac, this policy will say so before that version is offered.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use this website to build a profile of you.
- We do not ask for payment details on this website.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom, UK GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, erase, and restrict the use of personal information we hold, and to object to certain uses of it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
This website does not keep an account for you, and it does not keep a copy of your documents, so there is usually nothing of yours for us to retrieve. Write to customersupport@squirclelabs.london or use the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. The current version is always the one published here.
